NTC Appoints New President
Dr. Darren
E. Dahl became the 15th president of Newman Theological College on
June 23, 2025.
With twenty years of experience in diverse academic and
administrative roles, Dr. Dahl brings a wealth of experience to the Office of
the President. Originally from southern Saskatchewan, Dr. Dahl taught for many
years at St. Thomas More College in Saskatoon after completing doctoral studies
in philosophy and theology in the Department of Religious Studies at McMaster
University. During that time, he was also the Executive Director of the Prairie
Centre for Ecumenism in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon. Along with his
administrative responsibilities, Dr. Dahl holds the rank of Associate Professor
of Theology. In his current academic research, he investigates the interface
between contemporary French phenomenology, notions of religious experience, and
the doctrine of Revelation. He is working on a book on the Roman Catholic
philosophical-theologian, Jean-Luc Marion.
